Toronto: November 25, 2002 - Progistix-Solutions Inc. today announced a new supply chain outsourcing relationship with Honda Canada. Under the agreement, Progistix will provide overnight delivery of time sensitive automotive parts to its dealer network in communities across Northern Ontario and the Windsor corridor.
Servicing the dealerships in Ontario communities, Progistix-Solutions will co-ordinate the transportation and delivery of automotive parts from Honda's Ontario warehouse to its dealers. The supply chain integration will ensure the timely delivery of Honda replacement parts and increase the ability of dealerships to service Honda vehicles much more quickly than they previously could.
Honda Canada chose Progistix-Solutions as a third party logistics supplier based on the strength of its overnight delivery network that provides delivery of Honda parts before 8:00 a.m. By using Progistix's established network, Honda's dealers can place orders later in the day with next day delivery as well as return of all parts. By delivering parts before the service centers open, dealerships maximize the use of technician hours and downtime of customer's vehicles.
