TORONTO, ON-Progistix-Solutions Inc. (PSI) announced today a new, strategic outsourcing partnership with Pitney Bowes Canada. Under the agreement, PSI will assume the national distribution of finished goods, supplies and spare parts for Pitney Bowes which is closing its Canadian distribution center as part of a global supply chain reorganization initiative. Integrating Pitney Bowes and PSI's SAP platforms has created a real-time order-to-delivery operations network for office equipment, supplies, and spare parts, resulting in significant operational, financial and customer service benefits.
"This partnership highlights the benefits we focus on delivering to our clients. Successful outsourcing delivers upfront capital cost reductions, ongoing business process improvements and creates the platform to build new revenue sources," says Fred Kulach V.P. Business Development and Marketing at PSI. "Pitney Bowes is our client but the tight performance measures in our agreement focus on service levels to the thousands of corporate customers served by Pitney Bowes."
The Pitney Bowes - PSI partnership creates a more efficient network, coupling lower operating costs with accelerated movement of finished goods in the supply chain and a reduced order to cash cycle.
"In looking for a partner to manage our Canadian fulfillment operations, we had a wide range of options. After a thorough search we chose Progistix. They have deep local infrastructure, and outstanding business process design skills. They took the time to understand our business and provide us the room to grow to meet aggressive expansion plans," commented Dave Manara, V.P. Operations. "IT integration is a challenge in any business. Progistix speaks the same IT language as us. SAP is a complex architecture that they have installed and understand. We have built a benchmark operation for Pitney Bowes worldwide. We are excited to partner with Progistix because we can serve our internal and external customers better."
